The WACO Warriors make a road trip for their Week Five football contest as they visit Easton Valley. WACO rides into tonight on the heels of back-to-back victories, including a 49-20 win at HLV last week to improve to 4-1.
Quarterback Clayton Miller continues to paint a pretty picture as a passer, throwing for over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns so far this season. Fellow senior Louden Huisenga is a threat however he touches the ball for WACO, piling up over 700 yards from scrimmage and scoring 14 times as a runner.
Gage Samo has been Miller’s top target with 23 receptions for 366 yards and five TDs, while another senior in Isaac Rich has also been a dangerous receiver, putting up 13 catches for 280 yards and a whopping eight scores.
Huisenga leads the Warrior defense with 39 total tackles, while Miller has been in the opposing backfield often with eight stops for loss. Junior Adam Stafford has also been disruptive on the defensive line with five tackles for loss.
WACO will be facing an Easton Valley squad that is 2-2 but boasts a fairly prolific passing game in their own right. QB Keagan Lee has passed for nearly 830 yards and 12 touchdowns, with 10 of those TD throws going to fellow junior Callan Messerich. The Warriors try to wrangle the River Hawks beginning this evening at 7 from Preston.
