The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves are looking to right the ship on the football field tonight when they travel to English Valleys. After a 2-0 start to the season, WMU has lost back-to-back games, including a 55-14 defeat at home to Montezuma last week.

Quarterback Jake Edwards missed that loss in Week Four but has been excellent when available for Winfield-Mount Union, passing for 562 yards and seven touchdowns while also rushing for 226 yards and another five scores.

Fellow senior Lane Genkinger has also been a playmaker for the Wolves with over 530 yards from scrimmage and nine total TDs. Senior Cooper Buffington has 27 total tackles and five tackles for loss to lead a WMU defense that is hoping to improve on 95 points allowed over the last two weeks.

Winfield-Mount Union is taking on an English Valleys team that is 1-3 and leans on junior QB Drew Fisher, who leads the team with over 360 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. The Wolves battle the Bears in North English beginning this evening at 7 o’clock.
