Iowa Workforce Development released its August 2024 data this week. All seven counties in the KCII listening area saw a decrease in unemployment rates in August. Washington County reported the lowest unemployment rate for the month at 2.3 percent, followed by 2.5 percent in Iowa and Johnson Counties, 2.8 percent in Keokuk County, 2.9 percent in Louisa County, 2.9 percent in Henry County, and 3.2 percent in Jefferson county.
