After working all summer, the Iowa DOT announced the road to Lake Darling State Park is officially open. Construction that began in March included bridge approach repairs, a culvert replacement, new pavement, and paved concrete shoulders. Other road enhancements include center-line rumble strips, shoulder rumble strips, and updated guardrail approaches. Roughly six miles of road is now complete, with access to Lake Darling State Park from both directions.
