At their last meeting, the Washington City Council held a closed session. After the closed session they voted unanimously to appoint a new Washington City Clerk. They appointed Kathy Kron to the role. She resides in Riverside with a background in customer service, sales, and office administration. The last City Clerk Amanda Waugh was removed from the position in June of this year. City Financial Administrator Kelsey Brown had been filling the role as interim Clerk. The tentative start date for Kron will be October 7th.
