The Mt Pleasant Marching Band held their 24th invitational on September 21st, and many area schools were able to attend. In class 3A, the Washington Marching Demon Nation performed their “Great” Show, and finished fifth of six schools. Other top teams included Mount Vernon, Center Point-Urbana, Oskaloosa, Fort Madison, Washington, and Keokuk. In class 1A/2A the winners were Tipton, Central Lee, and Wapello. There were twelve schools in total competing at the invitational.
