Join the Domestic Violence Intervention Program & Rape Victim Advocacy Program staff and volunteers at grocery stores across their eight-county region and help them collect donations for victims and survivors of domestic violence. They will be in the Washington HyVee on Thursday, October 10th from 2:30 to 4 pm with a shopping list for their shelter available for patrons to purchase needed items. KCII News spoke with DVIP Executive Director Kristie Doser to learn more about the event, “Volunteers at the HyVee, and we are asking community members to buy maybe one or two items off of that shopping list. And those are the items that we use for victim survivors in Washington throughout the year.”  October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this donation drive is one more way to spread awareness for DVIP.
