The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves dropped a pair of the three matches they played Saturday at the New London Volleyball Tournament. WMU fell to New London in straight sets, 21-19 and 21-17, and was also swept by Burlington Notre Dame, 25-19 and 25-14.

Winfield-Mount Union would get a victory over Louisa-Muscatine, taking the first set 21-12 and bouncing back from dropping the second 21-18 by winning a tight third frame 15-13.

Junior Kellee Milks had a team-high 21 kills for the tournament for the Wolves and also finished with 24 digs, one blocked shot and three serving aces.

Freshman Kynlee Buffington had a total of 13 kills and nine blocks, while Josie Nelson put up five kills, two blocks and 27 digs, tied with fellow senior Pacey Schlee for a team high.

Quin Smith added two kills, four blocks and three aces for WMU, while fellow junior Kaelyn Townsley handed out 24 assists to go with four kills and 15 digs.

Senior Madisen Kellogg also had 22 assists at setter as Winfield-Mount Union moves their record to 10-9. The Wolves next look for a conference victory when they visit Highland tonight.
