Columbus Junction is gearing up for its Columbus Day and 150 year celebration this Saturday. This celebration is put on by the Columbus Junction Community Club, and this year’s event will be even bigger with vendors, food, games, parade, and a live band. KCII News spoke with Columbus Council member Kenan Todd to learn more, “And a fundraiser for our fireworks at 11:30 we have a pie your councilman. There will be two of the five councilmen hopefully receiving pies depending upon the funds raised for that.” Festivities for the day will begin at 7 am with a breakfast hosted by the Lions Club.
