The WACO Warriors are looking to close out the regular season with another football victory when they travel to take on English Valleys tonight. WACO has won four straight to reach 6-1, including a 3-1 record in their district that has already sewn up their place in the eight-player state postseason.
Louden Huisenga was a huge part of last week’s 67-42 win over New London, rushing for a season-high 202 yards to run his season totals to 1,130 yards from scrimmage and 21 total touchdowns scored.
Fellow senior Clayton Miller has been another catalyst of the WACO offense at quarterback, passing for over 1,300 yards and 18 TDs. Seniors Isaac Rich and Gage Samo have combined to catch 15 of those scoring passes and each have over 430 yards receiving.
On defense, Huisenga and Miller lead the Warriors in total tackles, while junior Adam Stafford has been a force up front with 12-and-a-half tackles for loss.
WACO takes on an English Valleys team that is 1-5. While junior QB Drew Fisher has run for over 580 yards and six touchdowns, the Bears are averaging less than 20 points per game. The Warriors kick off their regular-season finale this evening at 7 in North English.
