The Sigourney Savages were beaten in the semifinals of this year’s South Iowa Cedar League Volleyball Tournament. Sigourney dropped both sets Thursday to North Mahaska, 25-19 and 25-21.

Josephine Moore led the Savages with eight kills and 12 digs, while fellow senior Reagan Clarahan had four kills, two blocked shots and two serving aces.

Senior McKinley Chittick added three kills and eight digs, while sophomore Bailey Gretter had a good all-around game with two kills, eight assists, 12 digs and a block. Senior Taylor Rozenboom handed out nine assists at setter as Sigourney ends the regular season with a record of 15-5.
