Washington County reported the lowest unemployment rate for the month at 1.9 percent, followed by 2.1 percent in Johnson County, 2.3 percent in Iowa and Louisa Counties, 2.5 percent in Henry County, 2.6 percent in Jefferson County, and 2.8 percent in Keokuk County.
