Three members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football team continue their climb up the season and career statistical ladders in program history.
Senior quarterback Brady Weber finds himself among the best ever for the Golden Hawks in five different categories. The Golden Hawk signal caller has completed 228 passes in his career, second most behind only Reid Miller in the Class of 2014 with 253. His 2,997 career passing yards are third most, trailing only Seth Fisher, Class of 2001 in second and Miller the all-time leader with 3,268. Weber’s 28 touchdown tosses are third most for a career, behind only Travis Kern, Class of 2005 with 30, and Fisher with 33. This year, Weber has thrown for 1,426 yards, fourth most in a single year, trailing only Justin Swartzendruber’s 2002, his own year last season and Miller’s all-time mark of 1,592 set in 2013.
Junior running back Hudson Ehrenfelt is also climbing in five categories. Despite still having a full season left in the program he is already fourth on the career scoring list with 252 points, trailing only Kevin Kos, Class of 1977, Adam Kos, Class of 2002 and all-time leader Tanner Miller, Class of 2010’s 513 points. Ehrenfelt’s 42 career touchdowns are fourth behind that same group, in the same order, with Miller’s 59 best ever. Ehrenfelt’s 2,506 yards on the ground are fifth most all-time, behind Ricky Vargas, Class of 2017, Kevin Kos, Adam Kos and all-time leader Miller at 4,003.
Fellow junior Kaden Kos is writing his name in the record books on both sides of the ball. With a full year remaining he is already fourth on the all-time tackles list with 256 stops. Ahead of him are Mike Freel, Class of 1982, Reid Miller Class of 2014 and Justice Jones, Class of 2022, who are tied in second and all-time leader Adam Kos with 269. His eight career touchdown grabs are fifth most for the Hawks all-time, tied with Dean Anderson, Class of 1981, Brent Showalter, Class of 2000 and Josh Kral, Class of 2003. He trails Sean Thornton, Class of 2004, Levi Duwa, Class of 2017, Cain Brown Class of 2023, and all-time leaders Collin Brenneman, Class of 2009 and Darian Patterson, Class of 2007, with 16 each. Kos has 127 tackles this year, third for a single season, behind only Anthony Kos with 137 in 1993 and Aaron Kos with 144 in 1991.
