Nine Golden Hawks recently took part in the 96th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN with three receiving the highest degree in the FFA organization. The nine Mid-Prairie students included: Ellie Callahan, Peighton Huston, Adelyn Huston, Caedyn Huston, Averi Janecek, Stella Janecek, Caitlynn Peters, Charlotte Sieren, and Allie Whetstine, and they were led by FFA Advisor Elsa Schmidt. Students who received the American FFA Degree were Bridget Fisher, Zane Fisher, and Carmen Sieren.

Students visited the career show and expo where they heard from colleges, businesses, and agricultural organizations. A tour of a shrimp farm that grows fresh shrimp in urban areas and a tour of an orchard that provided insight on agritourism were also part of the three-day event.
