The champion team in the annual Iowa FFA Soils Evaluation Career Development Event was the Keota FFA Chapter. The first place team includes: Ayden Galindo, Jack Greiner, Jacob Libe, and Jackson Vittetoe. The annual event is held at Iowa State University and teams took part from 30 FFA chapters.

The top five teams will represent Iowa at the National Land Judging Event in May in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; they include Keota, Clarinda, Sigourney, Davis County, and Louisa-Muscatine. Students display their agricultural knowledge and skills in the area of Soils Evaluation by evaluating four soil pits and taking a written exam.
