Antique clocks will be the topic of the hour in Winfield on Saturday. The Winfield Historical Society and Museum is hosting clock expert Michael Lynch for a program titled “Clocks – Stories of the Past.” Lynch has been repairing clocks for 45 years and has a shop in Kalona. He will be sharing information about antique clocks and how he’s worked to repair pieces. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own antique time pieces to share.
A lunch will follow the program, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 16th, at the Winfield VFW Building. Free will donations are being accepted for the current museum operations and for renovations of a new location that will house the Winfield Museum in the future.
The new building has had its front windows replaced and work has been completed to renovate the front exterior. Exterior painting will finish soon.
