The Washington City Council approved the replacement of the fire alarm panels and devices at the Water Treatment Plant at their most recent meeting. According to a memo sent by Water Treatment Superintendent Kyle Wellington, his recommendation is to approve the company Summit Fire for the replacement of fire alarm panels and devices in the amount of $8,000. The other bid was received from the current service provider Midwest Alarms, in the amount of $12,318.06. It was stated that there has been a problem with the response time of Midwest Alarms when there is a technical issue. The council approved the bid for Summit Fire unanimously.
