The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed the Army Reserve Center at 1411 N Marion Avenue at their Tuesday meeting. The property will be up for bid for government bodies. Washington County Attorney Nathan Repp gave an update on that process, “So basically where they are at right now is in the process of obtaining an appraisal. And then they will make an offer to purchase to any government entities who have priority based on that appraisal. So right now we don’t have any idea what that dollar figure would be. It’s technically referred to as a negotiated sales process, but it’s not technically a negotiation. It’s generally a take it or leave it, especially when there are two government entities that are interested.” It was determined by that county that they would be able to utilize the entire property, and have not agreed to a shared agreement with the City.
