
U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley tells KCII news about the importance of the Cooper Davis Act, “I had just read on the ticker at the bottom of the television over the weekend, that the big tech companies spent 90 million dollars, fighting this legislation. And it just simply makes them responsible to make sure that illegal drugs aren’t sold on the internet. And it seems to me that that’s just common sense.” The lawmakers are urging (Mark) Zuckerberg to support their bipartisan Cooper Davis Act- requiring social media companies to report illicit drug activities on their platforms. The Senate Judiciary Committee advanced the bill in July.
