Area poets are invited to put their pens to paper for a contest. The Kalona Public Library and the KPL Foundation are inviting poets to participate in a Winter Poetry Contest. The original works should focus on a winter or holiday theme and submissions are due by this Saturday, November 30th. There are four age groups and each group will have a $10 Kalona Kash prize. Entries will be judged anonymously and winners will be announced on December 7th.

All of the entries will be bound and available for purchase. Submissions can be dropped off at the library or emailed to director@kalonalibrary.org.
