Following a record-setting season, four members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team were named All-Southeast District in Class 3A by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
The senior duo of Dakota Mitchell and Callie Huber were selected to All-District spots. Mitchell, a multi-time All-State and All-District pick, and 2023 River Valley Conference Player of the Year, capped her terrific career with a team-leading with 558 digs, third most in Class 3A. Her 58 aces were seventh most in 3A. Huber, a multiple time All-Conference pick, finished with a .428 kill efficiency, fourth highest in 3A on 256 total kills, with a team best 46 blocks and 19 aces.
The junior duo of Jovi Evans and Harper Pacha were also All-District. Evans, the 2024 RVC Player of the Year, multi-time All-River Valley and All-District and All-State player, finished the season with 356 kills, fifth most in Class 3A with 55 aces eighth in the state. Evans added a team best 584 assists to go with 374 digs and 22 blocks with a .356 kill efficiency. Pacha, the 2023 All-Conference and All-State selection, piled up 256 kills and a .234 efficiency rating, with 73 digs, 26 aces and 23 blocks.
Mid-Prairie finished the season ranked No. 8 in Class 3A, with a school record 33 wins, the program’s first ever back-to-back Conference titles and first trip to State since 2004.
