KCII News spoke to U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley about November being National Adoption Month, “Adoption month, is just a month designated by Congress, to promote adoptions because there are a lot of kids overseas, but even here in the United States, in homes that are transitory. And every time I talk to those kids, because I’m active in this area, they say, ‘I would like to have a mom and dad, and I would like to have a permanent home.’ And that’s the cry that we get from people that want to be adopted when they don’t have their own mother and father.”  President Clinton named November as National Adoption Month in 1995 and we have been observing it ever since.
