The postseason volleyball awards continue to pile up for Hillcrest Academy senior Malia Yoder. Following a stellar final season for the maroon and black, Yoder was named Class 1A All-State by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. She was a fourth team IGCA choice. Yoder led the Southeast Iowa Superconference with 353 kills, and a .303 kill efficiency. Yoder’s 60 aces led the North Division and were ninth in 1A in Iowa. Defensively she added 389 digs, third most in the North. Yoder now ranks second in school history for digs in a season and digs per set, fifth all-time in kills per set, sixth in total kills and ninth in kill efficiency in a season. Her 26 kills in a four set win at WACO is sixth most for a Raven all-time and her career high for a single match.
Yoder was also named the 2024 Southeast Iowa Superconference Co-Player of the Year and was an All-District choice.
