Both Keota Eagle basketball teams came away with victories last night at Louisa-Muscatine. The Keota girls saw a tie game after one quarter turn into a 26-19 deficit going into halftime.

But the Eagles used a 16-4 run in the third period to go in front, and they would stay there on their way to a 51-41 win and their first win of the season.

The Keota boys led a high-scoring first quarter 23-18 and kept lighting up the scoreboard, pushing the lead to 53-32 at the half and starting the second half on a 19-6 run to stretch their advantage even further on their way to and 84-46 victory.

After winning their season opener, the Eagles will now try to take down conference rival Sigourney at home later tonight. You can catch both games of the doubleheader between Keota and Sigourney in the KCII Area Game of the Week, starting with pregame coverage this evening at 5:30 exclusively streaming on KCIIradio.com.
