The Washington YMCA will be holding its grand opening of the new aquatic center on December 10th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Washington Y Executive Director Amy Schulte outlines the night’s events, “We sent out over 400 invitations, we are expecting a huge crowd. We know everyone is just as excited as we are to dive right into it.” A ribbon cutting will be held at 5 p.m. and there will be snacks and beverages available, as well as family activities at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 p.m. There will also be facility tours throughout the evening. The aquatic center addition was a four million dollar project and construction began in July of 2023.
