A Washington woman is facing felony charges of dependent adult abuse. Last week, the Washington Police Department checked on a subject wanted out of Washington County. Officials arrested 27-year-old Megan Goodman of Washington on four counts of dependent adult abuse, all class C felonies. According to court documents, on September 18th, the Washington Police Department was advised of a dependent adult abuse by financial exploitation case. In this incident, Goodman was a home health worker at a care facility in Washington. Goodman took the victim to a bank in Washington on four separate occasions allegedly obtaining $950 dollars from the victim. When interviewed, Goodman admitted to knowing the victim could not live alone, but maintained she did not realize she could not receive money from the victim. Bail was set at $20,300. The preliminary hearing has been set for December 23rd.
