The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the KCII listening area. There is a chance for light snow showers Wednesday morning, with much of the area being dry by the afternoon hours. Visibility reductions to a half mile or less will be possible at times. Winds will be on the rise as well, with gusts upwards to 30 to 35 mph. These winds will help reduce visibility in snow showers, as well as reduce wind chill values through the day. Daytime wind chills between 5-below zero and 10 will be possible, with wind chills dipping down to 15-below zero or colder Wednesday night. Thursday, a narrow band of light snow is forecast to develop over part of the forecast area, which may give some upwards to an inch of snow. This narrow band of snow will develop in the afternoon and evening hours, resulting in possible travel impacts.
