The Washington County Board of Supervisors came to a decision for an employee compensation recommendation after much discussion on the topic at their Tuesday meeting. Supervisor Marcus Fedler brought concerns about the overall budget when discussing the matter, “I don’t think there is another question, what does three percent do for the overall budget. Where are we at for value increase? What does 718 tell us we can be at, with three percent if we have three percent growth. What’s that going to do? Be nice to know that.” The Supervisors approved a two and a half percent increase in compensation for their recommendation, in a three to two vote with Stan Stoops and Richard Young voting Nay.
