The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Washington, Keokuk, Louisa, Jefferson and Henry Counties in the KCII listening area, from Midnight Friday, December 13th to 9a.m. Saturday, December 14th. Freezing rain is expected across the advised area with total ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch possible. Difficult travel conditions are possible. Winds from 20-30mph will stress tree branches and power lines. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has also issued an Ice Storm Warning for Iowa and Johnson Counties in the KCII listening area from Midnight Friday, December 13th to 3p.m. Saturday, December 14th. Freezing rain is expected across the warned area with total ice accumulations up to a quarter inch possible. Power outages are likely. Travel is strongly discouraged and could be impossible.
