The Lone Tree Lions came up with five all-district selections for football this season. That includes seniors Maddox Jondle and Jack Patterson, who earned first-team honors in 8-Player District 5.
Jondle makes the first-team defense at linebacker after leading Lone Tree with 65 total tackles and making one pass interception. Patterson is a first-team offensive lineman after helping the Lions pound out over 180 rushing yards per game.
Junior Emmett Burke earns a second-team nod at quarterback. Despite missing the second half of the season due to injury, Burke passed for more than 660 yards and nine touchdowns while also running for over 300 yards and another six scores.
Fellow junior Domonic Garcia was Lone Tree’s top receiving target, catching 33 passes for over 530 yards on his way to second-team honors.
Garcia hauled in 11 touchdown catches, second-most in the district and tied for eighth-best across the entire state in eight-player football. Honorable mention goes to junior Brody Magruder.
