Sigourney-Keota boys’ wrestling picked up a pair of team dual victories Tuesday night while taking part in a triangular at English Valleys. SK defeated the hosting Bears 45-15 and also knocked off Colfax-Mingo 42-25.
Sigourney-Keota was led by a pair of seniors who won twice on the night. Jayden Thompson had a victory by fall at 190 pounds and also won a 13-12 decision, while Zach Guffey claimed a 12-10 decision to go with an earlier pin at 215.
Senior Brady Clark also won an 8-2 decision at 157 lbs, while SK also got pins to win from freshman Paxton Wehr at 113; junior Jacob Libe at 157; and seniors Dawson Meyer and Owen Menke at 144 and 285, respectively. Sigourney-Keota will next wrestle this weekend at Iowa City Regina.
