The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls wrestling team traveled to Solon last week to finish the 2024 dual portion of their schedule. The Hawks scored a 34-30 win over Iowa City West, and fell to the home Lady Spartans 60-21.

Undefeated Hawks on the night included Austyn Sexton and Cassie Trimpe with a pin each. Ashlee Farrier went 2-0 with a 13-0 major decision and 5-1 win. Mardie Berry and Emmerson Moore each collected a win by pin at the meet.

Following the event, the Golden Hawks had a 5-3 dual record.
