A former Washington Demons girls’ soccer player has earned all-conference honors while playing at Wartburg College. Greta Rothe was named All-American Rivers Conference after her junior season in Waverly.

Rothe’s first college all-conference selection came after she tied for a team high by scoring four goals and started all 20 matches the Knights played, compiling the seventh-most minutes on the team and helping Wartburg win 10 games.

During her career at Washington, Rothe scored 52 goals in three seasons, including 23 her senior year. Rothe was named Southeast Conference Player of the Year twice and earned a first-team all-state selection while playing for the Demons and helping them achieve their first winning season in program history in 2022.
