
With January in full swing, it means its National Blood Donor Month. People who are able are encouraged to donate. There is always a need for volunteers along with donations. If you are 16 and older, you can donate to your local blood drive. ImpactLife says a person who is healthy and is 16 or older with a parental consent form can donate up to six times per year, which is about once every 56 days.
With it being still early in January, there are a plethora of blood drives you can donate to in Washington County. Blood drives are being held 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on January 20th at the Washington Public Library, on January 27th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office, on January 28th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, and on January 30th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Halcyon House in Washington.
