Reanah Utterback’s undefeated season rolled on to highlight a Thursday of Sigourney-Keota wrestling. The senior won the championship at 115 pounds at the Ottumwa Invitational, winning all four of her bouts by fall to improve to 30-0 and claim her ninth tournament title of the season.

Kia Montgomery added a second-place finish for the SK girls in Ottumwa at 130 lbs, while fellow sophomores Sadie and Madison Clarahan were third at 125 and sixth at 190, respectively.

The Sigourney-Keota boys’ team took part in duals Thursday at North Mahaska, falling on the team scoreboard 65-12 to the hosting Warhawks while also losing 57-18 to Iowa Valley and being beaten 54-22 by Mount Pleasant.

Despite the team defeats, junior Owen Menke had a perfect night for SK by pinning all three of his opponents at 285 lbs. Sophomore Brycen Horras won twice by pin at 132, while senior Jayden Thompson claimed a 12-1 major decision at 190.

Sigourney-Keota also got pins to win Thursday from freshman Dillon Menke at 144, junior Jacob Libe at 157 and senior Zach Guffey at 215.
