A North English man was arrested in Kalona on felony theft charges out of Mahaska County. At approximately 12:18 p.m. Friday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Grant Troyer in Kalona on Mahaska County warrants, including failure to appear for deferred prosecution on the original charges of second degree theft a class D felony and fourth degree theft a serious misdemeanor. Bond was set at $10,000, and a hold was placed with Mahaska County with the Washington County Jail. According to court documents, the initial alleged offense occurred on November 2, 2018. A public bench warrant was filed four years ago. A pretrial conference has been scheduled for January 27th in Mahaska County.
