Highland 7th graders attended the STEAM Institute located at the Washington County Regional Center. On January 7th, the Kirkwood Workplace Learning Connections and the University of Iowa Health Care held the educational event. The presentations were given by staff from the Washington County Conservation, the VA Medical Center/Department of Veteran Affairs Health Care, the Kalona Cooperative Technology Company regarding fiber optics, Gunny Sac Designs, and the Axis Vision concerning eye care.     

In April, Highland 8th grade students will attend a financial literacy fair to learn about income, expenses, and more.
