The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has released a report for this weekend’s temperature outlook. Bitterly cold air will persist through the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday weekend. Very cold temperatures are expected Saturday night through Tuesday morning as an arctic air mass settles across the area. Wind chills of 15-below zero to 30-below zero are likely across most of the area. Remember to cover up skin and wear layers to protect yourself from frostbite. Frostbite in such conditions could occur on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less.
