On January 13th, Representative Heather Hora, from Washington, was sworn into the Iowa House of Representatives on the first day of the 91st General Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony was followed by opening remarks by Speaker of the House Pat Grassley, outlining some of the priorities of the Legislature for the 2025 session. This is Rep. Hora’s second term in the Iowa House of Representatives. She is currently serving as a House Majority Assistant Leader. She also serves on the Agriculture, Education, State Government, and Higher Education Committees, as well as on the Education Budget Subcommittee. District 46 Senator Dawn Driscoll, from Williamsburg, was also sworn into office. She is the Agriculture Committee Chair, on the Commerce, Local Government, State Government, Ways and Means, and Workforce Committees. This is Senator Driscoll’s second term in the Senate.
