Washington parents are reminded to register for preschool early. Stewart Elementary offers preschool to any child turning three or four years of age before September 16, 2025. They offer both three- and four-year-old programs. The four-year-old preschool is a free full-day program, and the three-year old program is half-days and tuition based with scholarships are available. Both programs are in session Monday through Thursday. If you would like to register a child for next school year, contact the Stewart office between February 3rd and March 14th. As a reminder, students who are currently in the three-year-old preschool sections do not need to call in. Stewart will inform families the first week of April whether or not your child is enrolled or on a waiting list. Sign up is not based on first come, first serve. All students are equally considered if registered between February 3rd through March 14th. If they end up having more registrations than available spots for students, they will use a matrix to determine enrollment.
