The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk archery club traveled to Center Point-Urbana Saturday for the Stormin’ Pointer shoot.

The high school Hawks finished fifth of nine schools in 3D with a 1623, behind winner Cedar Rapids Prairie’s 1697. Landon Kuenster was sixth to lead the Mid-Prairie boys with 283 that included 17 tens. For the girls Averi Janecek had the top day finishing eighth with a 279 and 17 tens. In bullseye, the Golden Hawks were eighth of nine teams with a 3187. CPU won their home event with a 3364. Kuenster also led the boys here with a 285 and 18 tens for sixth. Ava Miller had the top girls round, shooting 281 with 15 tens.

The middle school Hawks were fifth of nine teams in 3D with a 1513. Alburnett was the team winner at 1616. Noah Coblentz was overall boys runner up with a 281 and 16 tens. Kylee Berry led the girls in 24th with a 231 and three tens. Mid-Prairie middle schoolers were seventh of 10 teams in bullseye with a 3107, behind champion Independence with 3234. Easton Gorsch was 18th in the boys contest with a 268 and 13 tens. Mackenzie O’brien led the girls at 258 and six tens for 29th.

At the elementary level, Golden Hawk leaders in 3D were Brielle Robertson placing seventh for the girls with a 193 and one ten with Kinnick Carroll eighth for the boys with a 231 and three tens. In bullseye, Monica Beachy was seventh for the girls with a 233 and six tens, followed by Robertson ninth. Samuel Newton led the boys in 14th with a 227 and four tens.

The Golden Hawk archers will next be in action Saturday at Mt. Vernon.
