Aaron Boone continued his stellar senior season for Washington Demon wrestling with another victory last night in team duals at Burlington. Boone won by fall in one minute 18 seconds for Washington at 132 pounds, the only head-to-head victory of the night for the Demons in a 47-30 loss on the team scoreboard.

While the Washington girls’ team also lost their dual with Burlington 66-7, the Demons did have two individual winners. Senior Peggy Miller claimed an 8-0 major decision at 145 lbs, while sophomore Norah Stoutner won a 7-5 decision at 140.

The Washington girls will wrestle again this weekend at a tournament at Louisa-Muscatine, while the Demon boys compete today and tomorrow in the John J. Harris Invitational at Southwest Valley in Corning.
