Since opening its doors in August 2014, the Washington County Regional Center has forged strong partnerships with seven area high schools, serving 3,138 unique students who have collectively earned an astounding 42,222 college credit hours. Those college credit hours were earned without any cost to the students who now have them on their transcripts. On January 16th, community leaders, Kirkwood staff, current and former students, and stakeholders reflected on the impact of WCRC and its role in advancing education in Washington County. The Alive After 5 event filled the center and celebrated the ten year milestone.
