The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams are back on the court tonight at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman, hosting the Durant Wildcats in a River Valley Conference doubleheader. The Golden Hawk boys are 13-2 on the year, 7-1 in conference after a 68-54 win over Mt. Pleasant Monday. This year, the Hawks score 66 points per game and give up 51, shooting 45% from the floor, 36% from three and 72% from the line with 32 rebounds, 13 assists, eight steals and 14 turnovers per game. Individually, Bryce Henry is best at 22 points per game, Conner Wiles with six rebounds and Brady Weber with four assists and two steals per night.

Durant is 3-12 overall and winless in the River Valley after a 64-49 loss to Regina Friday. This year, the Wildcats score 43 per game and give up 55 on 34% shooting, 23% from three and 52% at the line with 30 rebounds, nine steals and assists and 18 turnovers per game. Individually, Conner Schwarz goes for 11 points, three steals and two assists per night. Bryce Daufeldt leads with seven rebounds. The Hawks have beaten the Wildcats 10 straight times, including a 66-39 road win in December.

The Mid-Prairie girls are 12-3 on the year and 7-1 in the RVC after a 66-30 win over Mt. Pleasant on Monday. On the year, the Golden Hawks average 62 points per game and give up 43, shooting 40% from the floor, 29% from deep and 66% from the floor with 37 rebounds, 17 steals, 16 assists and 18 turnovers per game. Individually, Callie Huber leads with 12 points and nine boards per game, Katelyn Harland has four assists and Jeorgia Evans four steals per game.

Durant is 9-6 this year and 3-4 in the River Valley after a 79-34 loss to Regina. The Wildcats score and give up 46 points per night on 37% shooting, 23% from three and 55% at the line with 31 rebounds, 13 steals, 12 assists and 22 turnovers per game. Individually, Allison Toft leads at 10 points and eight boards per game. Paige Happ has four assists and three steals per night. Mid-Prairie has won nine of 10 over Durant including a buzzer beater from Morgyn Bender to take a 52-49 win just before Christmas this year.
