A car ran into a house in Washington on Wednesday morning. As heard live from the scene on KCII Radio, a car hit a single-story house on South 3rd Avenue, near the intersection of Tyler Street and 3rd Avenue. The sedan received front end damage as a result of the crash. According to Washington County Communications, at 11 a.m. the car driven by Elizabeth Crossett of Washington struck the house.
Airbags were deployed. One person was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene including the Washington Police Department, Washington Fire Department, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Washington Rescue, and Washington County Ambulance.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
