Jeremy Goodale’s sentence was upheld by the Iowa Court of Appeals. The Fairfield teenager pleaded guilty to murdering his Spanish teacher Nohema Graber in 2021. In 2023, Goodale was sentenced to life in prison with possibility of parole after 25 years. Goodale along with Willard Miller murdered Graber with a baseball bat and the teenagers both plead guilty. According to court records filed January 23rd, Goodale’s attorney filed a motion to reduce the sentence. The court reviewed the appeal and upheld the initial sentencing. The court stated that Goodale was “an intelligent teenager who could have stopped this from happening”.
