The Lone Tree Lions kept their winning streak alive in girls’ basketball Tuesday night by taking down Louisa-Muscatine 64-16. Lone Tree held the Falcons to just five made field goals in a convincing seventh consecutive victory.
The Lions have won 14 of their last 15 games to improve to 16-3, including a 12-3 record in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
The Lone Tree boys’ team would suffer a 77-57 loss to Louisa-Muscatine. The Lions cut a 25-11 deficit after one quarter of play down to nine points by halftime, but they would not get any closer.
Lone Tree now sits at 6-11, including a 4-10 mark in the Super Conference North. Both Lion squads are now off until Tuesday, when they travel to face Hillcrest Academy.
