The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is looking for campground volunteers for several Iowa State parks during the camping season. One of those parks includes Lake Darling in Washington County. According to the DNR, if you enjoy camping and meeting new people, this is the perfect opportunity for you to volunteer. A volunteer will be given a free campsite and they will live in the park for up to five months. The volunteers will work around 20 hours per week, which will include the weekends and some holidays. Volunteers will work with the Iowa DNR directly to help maintain the park, which will include making sure the reservations are up-to-date and accurate, and helping visitors be welcomed. If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign up on the Iowa DNR website, at www.iowadnr.gov/volunteer
