
Iowa’s influenza-like illness activity is high, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Nationwide seasonal influenza activity has increased and remains elevated.
In Iowa, RSV, Coronavirus (not COVID-19), and influenza have seen an increase over the last reporting week for percent positive. Last week, two schools in Henry County had 10% illness with a total of 73 schools reporting 10% or greater daily student absences of their expected enrollment, according to the Iowa Respiratory Virus Surveillance Report. Most of the influenza cases in Iowa at this time are Flu A.
An annual influenza vaccine is recommended by the CDC for those who are six-months old or older.
