Keegan Gingerich of Kalona has been sentenced to prison for five years. Gingerich, who is 22 years old, is guilty of one felony count – purchase or possession of a depiction of a minor in a sex act first offense, a class D felony. A voluntary plea was filed. He had been charged with nine offenses, the other eight were dismissed. The plea deal was first entered in October of 2024 and the judgment was filed January 24th.
